  • Today, a tweet from Manfred Hofer got my attention, at 12:18pm eastern time today:

But when trying to find the actual files to download, things acted strange those first few hours. That's all past us now.

    Download here

    Read the Release notes here

I'm working to get the files downloaded myself right now, and have very limited time to test them, as I have some 6,440 miles to cover between now and this Tuesday, but I'll go ahead and post any findings about the downloads right in this article, so consider coming back and refreshing your browser (Ctrl+F5).

If you use EVALExperience, and you have get the following warning when you try to download the files from the above download site:

You either are not entitled or do not have permissions to download this product.
Check with your My VMware Super User, Procurement Contact or Administrator.

You may need to register for a trial, then apply your EVALExperience license, I'm working to test that soon, stay tuned. (Oct 26 - Yep, it works fine, stay tuned for Update 1a info here.)

I'm getting a nice smooth 70Mbps download speed, and I used Resource Monitor to confirm the bits are flowing from Akamai CDN. Drop us a comment below to let us know how your download is going!

    Sep 14 2015 Update

You will want to read this new post by Emad Younis today, who happens to be here with me at The Reckoning 2015. His site emadyounis.com is full of quality content, with very technical information you need.

VCSA 6.0 was minus an old friend, the VAMI. VCSA 6.0 U1 the VAMI has returned! (applause). Not only is it back, but a with a new look in HTML5.
