TinkerTry appearance on Microsoft Channel 9 - Everything You Need To Know About State Of The Art SSD Drives NVMe, PCIe, M.2
Recently, I had a conversation with Dan Stolts of Microsoft, who is also the creator of IT Pro Guru Blog. We've run into each other at various New England User Groups, and always enjoy talking tech things like booting from VHD on an external ThinkPad drive, or using eSATA to temporarily run another operating system.
During this Skype session (with video), we got right into the weeds about what the move from SATA3 2.5" SSDs over to tiny M.2 NVMe SSDs means for the home PC and home server enthusiast, along with some demos and Q&A. Very nice of Dan to produce this video, now published right on ITProGuru Video Blog at Microsoft Channel 9!

These systems still work great for many even 9+ years later, mine included, even with (unsupported) vSphere 8 and Windows 11 Version 21H2. But unless you added the optional TPM module, it may be the end of the line as far as repurposing them for running the latest Windows 11 Version 24H2 and beyond.
