"HomeLab: SUPERMICRO 5028D-TN4T Review" by Chestin Hay at Let’s v4Real
It's a nice thing, when one of the many of SuperServer owners take a chunk of their time to share their experience buying a TinkerTry'd Bundle from Wiredzone, ready for virtualization. It's really a Xeon D success story, with 8 cores and 128GB of RAM, able to handle a lot of VMs. Chestin includes a ton of pictures, and I really appreciate seeing somebody using that side bay for their 2.5" SSD right away, made easier by the bundle's inclusion of that 6th SATA3 cable that Supermicro really should have included in the first place.
He's just getting started. Can't wait to see what he comes up with next!
Enough of my words, I think it best if I just link you right to Chestin's new article. Enjoy!

HomeLab: SUPERMICRO 5028D-TN4T Review
With a 8 core processor and 128GB of RAM, I have plenty of resources to run all the VMware products that I want to run. I have plenty of options for storage and all of this is confined in a reasonably small chassis. And I failed to mention….this thing is whisper quiet!
