CES 2012 Day 2

  • Had a great day, visiting many of the companies I wanted to, talking tech at some length. I'm impressed so far, with the quality of the staffing at the booths, and with the insane variety of stuff to see.

    I did get to record some brief video interviews that focused on virtualization and storage/backup servers applications, including visits to Synology, Fractal Design, HighPoint, and Buffalo. More companies to visit again tomorrow, of course. And I'll type up more stories, photos, and videos soon. Cellular congestion issues have prevented any kind of viable streaming option from either AT&T or Verizon.

    I also finally got the meet the guys! See also great/extensive CES coverage from homeservershow.com, including founder David McCabe, pictured below, who kindly treated us all to a Mexican lunch. We even got to si for a bit, well, on the carpet, but it was a lot of fun to discuss Mike's strange brews.
