You saw it here first, the new Windows 8 Unhappy Blue Screen of Death!

No, I'm not trying to be a news blog:  I'll get back to testing my new RAID array and installing graphics cards on my Z68 motherboard based vzilla shortly, worry not.  But sometimes I need to have a little fun, and I realize this claim may well be a bit of a stretch.

It has come to my attention from "reliable sources" that I may have inadvertantly scooped many large blogs, or perhaps even the entire web, when I published a series of clear screenshots the new frowny face BSOD from the Windows 8 Developer Preview, within about 9 hours of the ISO first showing up on the web straight from Microsoft's public site.  I published screenshots during the course of troubleshooting the virtualizing the OS, which I documented with a timeline at this post:

There are a whole lot of folks still blogging about this now, and I'm having a hard time finding a helpful search result. For example, see Google search:

So, unfortunately my Windows8x86FailonVMwareWorkstation.png file doesn't seem to be indexed anywhere, and I can't really provide any solid evidence of when I posted it and who was first with posting this type of screenshot.  And I'm actually curious about how one goes about doing that sort of detective work. And I need to set out to find a simple way to have my blog posts show both when the blog post was posted, and when last edits were made.

But to the dozens of commenters at the original post TinkerTry.com/windows8download who were up late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, you remember seeing it here first, as we worked together on cranking out UBSOD after UBSOD (Unhappy Blue Screen of Death) together, don't you?
