TinkerTry's Second Birthday, June 1, 2013

It's been two years since launch already, wow, time flies fast, like my fingers at the keyboard. Yeah, said something like that last year too. But I've now created 311 articles total, over these last 104 weeks. That's about 3 articles per week! The new 'Superguides' button helps with deeper dives, and the new 'Topics' button helps visitors like you with discovery.

It's looking very likely TinkerTry will hit the 1 million unique visitors milestone this year, so I'm extremely relieved to finally feel that things are going pretty well. I've also learned the harsh reality of sizable web hosting fees to keep up with traffic, while maintaining a responsive experience.

To really keep the growth going despite all that, I could use a bit of a boost in the YouTube Channel subscriber numbers department, with 833 subscribers so far. Why?

Sure would help make it easier to know when TinkerTry events are coming up if you'd also follow me on Google+ and Twitter, especially if you'd like to participate in such events, including Google+ Hangouts. Worry not, I still plan on continuing to create won't-find-it-anywhere else video walk-throughs. It's just that any increases in followers helps enable TinkerTry to try new, more interactive ways of reaching out to you.
