Having just hit 3 years and 53,000 miles in my 2018 Tesla Model 3 LR, this amazing stat actually doesn't surprise me. It's by far the best car I've ever driven or owned, and many owners share this same sentiment.

I essentially answered it's all of those, as well as safety, and cost savings realized over time.
Paul mentioned Cognitive dissonance - postpone going all in on EVs once you hear one bad thing, justify delaying your purchase.
Paul mentioned fleet vehicle buys like Hertz, NYPD buying 250 Tesla Model 3s, 184 Ford Mach-Es, and Amazon buying both Rivian and Stellantis RAM ProMaster EV vans, and he knows LA journalist Chris Brown since childhood, a member of the Fleet Vehicle press.
