VMware vSphere Hypervisor ESX i 5.0 GA Build 469512 UEFI BIOS Config/Install/Boot Walkthru

It's pretty easy.  Seriously, after watching this video, I hope you're more likely to take it out for a spin yourself!  Now with ESXi 5.0, you can go beyond 2TB for that shared storage VMFS formatted volume, nice!  Once you configure storage, so you can start creating your virtual machines.

I've created a video that shows the complete setup and installation of ESXi 5.0 on a Z68 based motherboard.  This is the real code, not a beta.  Most of these steps are likely applicable to other Z68 based motherboards out there as well (basic boot order configuration and turning on of VT-d are covered)

The hardware used is documented over here:
    TinkerTry.com/vzilla and here TinkerTry.com/vmdirectpath

Downloaded the free VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.0.0-469512.x86_64.iso from VMware here and burned a CD or DVD or it.

You can then follow along with this video and have a completely operational system, here's a summary of the steps I demonstrate in the complete video walkthru:

    1. create boot CD or DVD
    2. enter factory default BIOS/UEFI configuration
    3. configuration UEFI Setup and boot order
    4. install from CD/DVD, which is automatically ejected at the completion of the installation
    5. now ESXi 5.0 boots from the USB memory, you're now ready to configure it!

    Enough talk, here's the show!
